Run-of-River, Marine and Tidal Streams
November 1995: Arise of the idea to take profit from the tidal streams and beginning of the technological conception of the system, by verifying the existing streams at Aveiro Inlet due to the sea tides, which cause alternate flow of the streams with a certain intensity on the Earth to Sea direction during the falling tide or on the Sea to Earth direction during the rising tide, with a steady behavior during a certain period on the high and low tides.
December 1995 - November 1997: Development and improvement of the first technological concept, concerning with an under-water system comprising a cylindrical symmetry duct with hydroreactor profile, to take profit from run-of-river, tidal and marine streams on relative depth places where marine traffic may exist.
11 de December 1997: Application in Portugal of the 1st Patent registration - Priority Date.
March 1998: Foundation of PEEHR Corporation.
November 1998: Application for Patents in Europe, Hungry, USA and Brazil relating the first technological concept.
September 1999: Legal Approval of Candidature No 109 to financing program PEDIP II on the Regime to Support the use of the Intellectual Property System, for the Formulation of Patent Applications for Europe, Hungry and Brazil. (Eligible expenses 3 178 kPTE / Granted 2 119 kPTE)
November 1999: Examination and Granting of USA Patent.
June 2000: Legal Approval of Candidature No 146 to financing program PEDIP II on the Regime to Support the use of the Intellectual Property System, for the conception, study and execution of the Prototype and its experimentation. (Eligible expenses 9 825 kPTE / Granted 5 404 kPTE).
July 2000 - January 2002: Construction of the Prototype, including the Raft and Scaled Models of Conduits type "Hydroreactor" with variations on shape to be tested and of the data acquisition system.
July 2002: Legal Approval of Candidature No 40/00664 to financing program POE on the regime SIUPI "System of Incentives to the Use of Intellectual Property", for Maintenance and promotion of the technology. (Eligible expenses 53 016 Euro / Granted 37 111 Euro).
February 2002 - July 2003: Experimentation and testing with the Prototype at the Estuary of Peniche Port.
October 2003: Examination and Granting of the Patent in Brazil.
April 2004: Examination and Granting of the Patent in Portugal and of the European Patent.
May 2005: Publication on the International Conference Energex 2004 of the Experimental Results obtained from the tests with Scale Models
February 2005: Examination and Granting of the Patent in Hungry.
October 2004 - May 2005: Development and improvement of the second technological concept, concerning with a catamaran with two floats forming a planar symmetry channel with hydroreactor profile, to take profit from run-of-river streams at low depth rivers where nautical traffic is almost inexistent.
June 2005: Application for a European Patent relating the second technological concept.
March 2005 - February 2006: Project & Design on CAD of all the components for the manufacture of the first units concerning first and second technologies
June 2006: Legal Approval of Candidature No 40/01159 to financing program PEDIP II on the Regime to Support the use of the Intellectual Property System, for the Formulation of Patent Applications on Europe and Brasil, for the second tecnology. (Eligible expenses 18 350 Euro / Granted 7 340 Euro).
